Please let me begin this post by humbling myself to you. It’s been one year since I started using The Aliso Kitchen as an actual, focused blog and not just some place to throw my ramblings. In that time, I’ve met so many people and shared a very personal part of my life.

Instead of bashing those revelations up against a wall and hurting my spirit, my readers have been uplifting, supportive, and and absolute inspiration. I learn something new from you all every day, and I love that we can be part of a community while living who-knows-how-far apart.

I love celebrating milestones, and recently, The Aliso Kitchen’s Facebook page busted past the 500 Like mark. It was only a month or so ago when we hit 200, so believe me, this rapid growth is shocking!

To celebrate this particular benchmark in particular, I asked you all for your recommendations for the product you’d like to see next. It was close, but you all chose Wilderness Way Baskets! Don’t worry, though; coconut oil is next.

Giveaway

Wilderness Way Baskets is a *very* small, artisan basket-making company created and run by my very own aunt and godmother, Karen Gramenz. After she retired from law practice a few years ago, she found the time to try her hand at all varieties of arts and crafts. She’s always been an artsy (and fartsy) lady, but basket weaving really stuck with her. Next thing we know, everyone in the family has baskets everywhere!

The thing about my aunt is that she’s picky about quality. Each piece is carefully created, and reflected upon in a manner that makes them all unique. This is the very opposite of mass-market production.

Karen was generous enough to provide this basket free of charge to share in a giveaway, and I decided that her handiwork deserved a proper review, too.

This basket in particular is a bread basket. Karen made it specifically for The Aliso Kitchen! I think it’s perfect for any room in your house. If this was mine, I’d add a clean kitchen towel and use it to display fresh produce or rolls!

Giveaway Guidelines:

This giveaway will run for 2 weeks, ending at midnight EST on 3/8. It is open to US residents aged 18 years or older. It is not affiliated or sponsored by Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any company other than The Aliso Kitchen and Wilderness Way Baskets. This basket was provided free of cost to me for the direct intent of sharing it in this giveaway. It will be mailed via USPS by the blog owner within a week once the winner has provided their address.

The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the announcement that they won. If I do not hear back within 48 hours from the time I email, I will select another winner.
