Welcome to my little kitchen! :) So glad to have ya here with me! To learn more about me and my food philosophy, please check out my real food story!
Where to Shop
People always ask me how I walk away with such awesome deals on everyday items. It takes a little research, but I usually have a set plan for each item on my list. Since I now focus more on purchasing more sustainable, eco-friendly and natural products, it can take a bit more research.
Want to kick GMOs to the curb?
That used to be even harder to do than it is now. Thanks to organizations like the Non-GMO Project, you can know FOR SURE that less than 0.9% of what you’re about to consume is even remotely connected to GMOs.
I proudly support the Non-GMO Project through monthly donations, and am happy to share them with you all!
The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building sources of non-GMO products, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices. The organization offers North America’s only third-party verification for products produced according to rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance. Want to help increase the Appalachian food community?
I am also proud to support ASAP Connections, a wonderful program out of Asheville, North Carolina dedicated to bringing locally grown produce back to market. There are wonderful programs, like a farm to school initiative, that helps school children learn about where their food comes from.
Although I am not from Asheville, I LOVE this program so much I also donate to them monthly out of my own budget.
This is just a small way for me to do my part!

A special shout out to Tropical Traditions:
I received a full-sized quart of Tropical Traditions virgin coconut oil for review. I’m totally over the moon with this product, and consume multiple spoonfuls a day! It helps me snack less often, and I feel more awake when I take it. Funny, huh?
If you order by clicking on any of my links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you!
I’d like to emphasize that Tropical Traditions is not just coconut oil. They sell so very many things, including healthy living products you might struggle to find in your own local area, including soy-free eggs, free range meats, natural household cleaners, body products, and more. They always have special deals every week, so be sure to keep an eye out for super discounts (sometimes over 50% off or free shipping)!
